Kristin Matthys is an esteemed Aging Life Care Manager with 34 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist. With a dedicated focus on senior care for over 15 years, Kristin has seamlessly integrated her expertise across various settings, including outpatient clinics, home care, and skilled nursing facilities. 

Kristin’s professional ethos revolves around maximizing home safety to promote independence, mitigate fall risks, and enhance overall well-being. Through meticulous home assessments, strategic modifications, and personalized activity recommendations, she empowers seniors to thrive in their preferred living environments. 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kristin’s journey as a caregiver for her own mother over the past five years has deeply enriched her understanding of the aging process and the intricacies of care transitions. Her firsthand experience navigating her mother’s journey from home to residency at a senior housing community underscores her commitment to facilitating seamless transitions while prioritizing independence, safety, social engagement, and quality of life. 

Born and raised in Central New York, Kristin pursued her education at Central Square High School, followed by studies at SUNY Oswego and Russell Sage College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.

Outside of work, Kristin finds solace and joy in spending cherished moments with her family, including her mother, three children, and two grandchildren. Whether unwinding at home with her significant other and their two kittens or embarking on outdoor adventures such as kayaking and hiking, Kristin embraces life’s richness with enthusiasm. Her passions extend to travel and salsa dancing, reflecting her zest for exploration and vibrant living.
